Click the -> right arrow key to move the shark. I created this scratch program to give a short account of the race to the south pole between Robert Scott and Roald Amundsen. It can be use in history to retell the story. |
Teaching Points
It is recommended that the teacher would stop on each slide and spend time explaining the story in more detail.
The children would research the two explorers, Roald Amundsen and Robert Scott in their adventure to be the first explorer to reach the South Pole.
From watching this program the children could use role play in the classroom to retell the story and develop empathy among the characters.
As this is a sample scratch program of how historical stories could be retold, the children could develop their own sample scratch program and record themselves which would greatly enhance their Oral Language.
